The former San Jose Sharks first-round pick told reporters today that he found out he was getting called up to the NHL for the first time during a New Year's Eve party.

Nashville recalled Wiesblatt as the team is dealing with injuries and Zachary L'Heureux's three-game suspension for slew-footing Minnesota Wild captain Jared Spurgeon.

Wiesblatt has seven goals and seven assists in 27 games played for the Milwaukee Admirals. The former Sharks prospect winger was loaned to the Admirals at the end of the 23-24 season and then officially traded during the ensuing offseason.
