In the last few years, there have been some very interesting talents coming out of the Real Madrid academy, who have not been able to get a proper role in the first team because of the presence of the more established and significantly bigger names.

One such player who showed glimpses of his talent with the first team last season was Nico Paz. The Argentinian pearl of the Real Madrid quarry had to leave the Merengues in search of more playing opportunities, and joined the Italian side Como 1907, to play under the former Arsenal, Barcelona, and Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas.

As MARCA has reported, the youngster is playing at a very good level in Italy, and Real Madrid are quite happy with his progression. He has played four Serie A games up to now and is now one of the starters for Cesc Fabregas.

In these four appearances, he has already added two assists to his name. He could well have had a goal to his name as well as his deflected shot ended up in the goal in last night’s match between Como and Atalanta, but Serie A categorized this as an own-goal.

Nico Paz shone brightly in this game and helped his team get their first win in the Serie A in 23 years. He also assisted one of the goals scored by Fadera, as Como won with a 3-2 scoreline over a team as good as Atalanta.

With performances like the one he put against Atalanta, Nico Paz is already seemingly taking advantage of this opportunity of playing at a low-pressure side. His growth will certainly be good news for Real Madrid, as the Merengues kept the right to get 50% of any future fee paid for him, and also have a buyback clause for him.
