Former Rangers Forward Signs Lucrative Contract Extension With The Ducks
Former New York Rangers forward Frank Vatrano has signed a three-year, $18 million contract with the Anaheim Ducks.
Vatrano was set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer as he was the subject of some trade rumors, but his new extension should officially take him out of those trade discussions.
“Ever since my family and I got here three years ago, fans, teammates and staff welcomed us with open arms,” Vatrano said. “It’s something that we’ll be forever grateful for. I see how bright our future is here. We’re making turns in the right direction to build a winning culture and ultimately bring a Stanley Cup here to Anaheim.

“With that being said, I couldn’t be happier to say that I signed a three-year extension to stay on here in Anaheim. I’m excited to help this team grow and be part of the future here.”
Vatrano played one season as a member of the Rangers before he ultimately signed with the Ducks in the summer of 2022.
In New York, Vatrano recorded eight goals, five assists and 13 points in 22 games.
This year, the 30-year-old has tallied nine goals, 11 assists and 20 points in 37 games while averaging 18:00 minutes.
