Shaq Wiggins is heading back to the SEC.

The former Louisville and Georgia defensive back said Wednesday he’d be transferring to Tennessee.

Wiggins said he would be transferring from Louisville in March and is immediately eligible as a grad transfer. He had just eight tackles in eight games in 2016 playing for former Louisville defensive coordinator Todd Grantham.

Grantham moved to Mississippi State after 2016. Wiggins came to Louisville in 2014 after starting his career at Georgia — where Grantham was the team’s defensive coordinator at the time.

Wiggins’ best seasons came in 2013 and 2015. He had 19 tackles and two interceptions as a freshman in 2013 and then 30 tackles and two interceptions in 2015. He will compete for a starting job in a Tennessee secondary that will need to replace starting corner Cam Sutton and corner Malik Foreman in 2017.
