Everton have completed the signing of former Liverpool goalkeeper Rylee Foster on a short-term deal which will run until January.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Blue Girls this morning.

The 26-year-old former Canadian youth international goalkeeper joins Everton after spending last season playing her football in New Zealand with A-League Women club Wellington Pheonix. Foster made 19 appearances for Wellington Pheonix in which she kept five clean sheets.

Foster is no stranger to English football with the player having represented Liverpool between 2020 and 2023. The keeper made nine appearances during her time with The Reds. While game time was often restricted at the start of her spell, the player impressed when chances came her way.

After showing potential in her early days at Liverpool, the final 18 months of her spell with the club were extremely difficult. Foster suffered significant injuries in a road traffic accident in October 2021 and she endured a challenging journey back to fitness. In that period, it was uncertain whether she would play football again.

Foster returned to fitness at the start of last season and she proved both her health and quality during her time with Wellington Pheonix. The player will now be ready to make up for lost time back in England with Everton.
