Former Flames Player Skates In 1,000th NHL Game

Former Calgary Flames forward Trevor Lewis recently skated in his 1,000th NHL game as a member of the Los Angeles Kings.

The 38-year-old from Salt Lake City, UT, would have made it to game No. 1,001, but the Kings and Flames game on Wednesday night was postponed due to the wildfire situation in the Los Angeles area.

Lewis, who won the Stanley Cup on two occasions with the Kings in 2012 and 2014, played one season with the Winnipeg Jets before signing as a free agent with the Flames in 2021-22.

In 162 games over two seasons in Calgary, he scored 21 goals and 36 points. In 17 seasons, Lewis has scored 101 goals and 232 points.

Lewis became the 401st player in NHL history to skate in 1,000 games and should soon receive his Silver Stick, an award given to players who reach the milestone.
