Former Ducks/Giants Defenseman Joins The Kraken Hockey Network Broadcast
Seattle, WA - Former Vancouver Giants and Anaheim Ducks defenseman Brett Festerling made his broadcast debut with the Kraken Hockey Network on Thanksgiving Eve, during the Kraken’s home game against his former team at Climate Pledge Arena. Festerling joined Ian Furness, Alison Lukan, and Linda Cohn for the KHN pre-game show, clearly excited in his new role.

Festerling's career began in the Pacific Northwest, playing for the WHL's Tri-City Americans and Vancouver Giants from 2001 to 2007. As captain of the Giants, he led the team to a Memorial Cup victory. He went on to play in the NHL with the Anaheim Ducks and Winnipeg Jets, and in the AHL with the Syracuse Crunch. In 2012, Festerling took his talents to Germany, where he spent eight seasons with the Nürnberg Ice Tigers and Hamburg Freezers.
Festerling is not the only member of the broadcast team with close ties to the Pacific Northwest. Linda Cohn spent several years in Seattle in her youth.
