Former Bruins Star Is Top Trade Candidate

Former Boston Bruins forward Taylor Hall is a clear player to watch as we get closer to the 2025 NHL Trade Deadline. The veteran forward is a pending unrestricted free agent (UFA) on a struggling Chicago Blackhawks club, so the expectation is that he will be shopped.

Given Hall's skill, there is no question that he will generate a lot of interest around the NHL. This is especially so if the Blackhawks are willing to retain a portion of his $6 million cap hit.

Hall has had a bit of a quiet start to the season, posting seven goals and 14 points in his first 30 games. Yet, he is trending in the right direction as of late, posting two goals and four points over his last four contests.

Teams needing more experience and secondary scoring in their middle six should be in the mix for Hall's services. If the Bruins are in a post-season spot nearing the deadline, perhaps they could even inquire about him.

Hall was an impactful player during his three-year stint as a Bruin, posting 44 goals, 67 assists, and 111 points in 158 games.

It will be fascinating to see if Hall ends up being dealt before the deadline from here. If he does not sign an extension before it, it seems very possible that he will be moved.
