Former Bruins Star Ice-Cold With New Team
During this past off-season, former Boston Bruins forward Tyler Bertuzzi signed a four-year, $22 million contract with the Chicago Blackhawks. The expectation was that he would be a top offensive contributor for Chicago, but that is not the case right now.

Bertuzzi’s start with the Blackhawks has not been the best, as he has five goals, one assist, and a minus-6 rating in his first 18 games. Given his skill, this kind of production is certainly below expectations from the former Bruin.
Bertuzzi has also been held off the scoresheet in three straight games and has been dropped to the Blackhawks’ fourth line.
While Bertuzzi’s start with the Blackhawks has been shaky, he undoubtedly has the potential to turn things back around. Just last season with the Toronto Maple Leafs, he had 21 goals and 43 points. Furthermore, following being traded to the Bruins in 2022-23, he had 16 points in 21 regular-season games and 10 points in seven playoff games.
Thus, don’t be surprised if Bertuzzi starts heating back up with the Blackhawks soon.
