While the Blackhawks are struggling, former Boston Bruins star Tyler Bertuzzi is doing his part to help them. The gritty forward has been on a tear lately, posting six goals and eight points over his last eight games.
It is not particularly surprising to see Bertuzzi heating up for the Blackhawks. When playing at his best, he is a dangerous offensive threat. He certainly showed that during his short stint with the Bruins. He had 16 points in 21 regular-season games and five goals and 10 points in seven post-season games as a Bruin.
This hot streak has also come at a great time for Bertuzzi. The 29-year-old winger had a very rough start to his Blackhawks tenure, recording just 13 points in his first 32 games. However, he has now broken the ice, and it will be fascinating to see how he builds on it from here.
