Former Bruins Goalie Is Clear Trade Candidate
During the 2021 NHL Offseason, the Boston Bruins traded then-goalie prospect Dan Vladar to the Calgary Flames in exchange for a third-round pick. While Vladar was a promising Bruins prospect, a path to the NHL was immensely difficult for him in Boston, as they had Linus Ullmark, Tuukka Rask, and Jeremy Swayman ahead of him. In addition, he was eligible for waivers, so the Bruins moved him before running the risk of potentially losing him for nothing.

Fast forward to today, and Vladar is once again a player to watch when it comes to trade talks. With the Flames rebuilding and Vladar entering the final year of his contract, they could be willing to flip him once the deadline nears. Keep in mind, just last season alone, they traded then-pending UFAs Noah Hanifin, Chris Tanev, Nikita Zadorov, and Elias Lindholm.

Vladar, 26, could get the attention of teams around the NHL who could use more goaltending depth. When playing at his best, he can be a solid backup goaltender. For example, back in 2021-22 with the Flames, he had a 13-6-2 record and .906 SV% in 23 games.
Nevertheless, with Vladar entering his contract year, he is one of the several Flames to keep an eye on this campaign.
In five career games with the Bruins, Vladar posted a 2-2-1 record and an .886 SV%.
