Former Bruins Forward Thriving With Big Rival
During this past off-season, the Boston Bruins elected not to issue forward Jesper Boqvist a qualifying offer. The 26-year-old forward would then sign a one-year, $775,000 contract with the Florida Panthers.

Boqvist has since proven to be a nice depth addition for the Panthers. In 35 games, he has seven goals to go along with 13 points. This is after he had 14 points in 47 games with the Bruins this past campaign.
However, Boqvist is improving as the season continues to roll on. The 2017 second-round pick is red-hot right now, posting three goals and four points over his last four games. This includes a two-goal night against the New York Rangers in Florida's last game, with one being the game-winner.
Boqvist seems to have found himself a nice with the Panthers. He is becoming a solid part of their roster, and his big night against the Rangers is only the latest example of this.
It will be interesting to see how he builds on his hot streak with the Cats from here.
