Korpisalo, 30, spent parts of eight seasons with the Blue Jackets from 2015-16 to 2022-23. During that time, he had a record of 87-78-24, along with a .903 save percentage (SV%) and a 3.06 goals-against average (GAA) in 210 appearances.

He had some great moments as a member of the Blue Jackets, with one of the highlights being his performance during the 2020 COVID Bubble. Korpisalo helped Columbus defeat the heavily favored Toronto Maple Leafs in the play-in round.

Korpisalo now returns to Columbus tonight with his new club, looking to secure a win.

Since leaving the Blue Jackets' organization in 2022-23, he has faced his former club only once. That matchup came last season as a member of the Ottawa Senators. He recorded the loss, allowing four goals on 19 shots, finishing the night with a .826 SV% and a 4.15 GAA.

Tonight, he’ll aim for a better outcome in his return to Nationwide Arena.
