Forest boss confirms nature of Danilo 'serious' injury

Nottingham Forest boss Nuno Espírito Santo has delivered an update on the nature of the injury to Danilo that caused so much concern during their game with Bournemouth.

The home side went ahead first, but had to settle for a point after a late equaliser from Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo.

Yet that was not the biggest concern for Forest, as a lengthy delay in the game caused serious concern over an injury to midfielder Danilo.

“It was a horrible moment for everyone, he’s at the hospital now,” confirmed the boss. “He has broken his ankle, it’s serious.

“We’re going to miss him, it’s serious but the good news is that he’s stable and speaking and he’s aware.”

A relief after plenty of anxiety from Forest over the player’s wellbeing.
