Manchester City are expected to sit down for conversations with one of football’s super agents early next week, as transfer window activity looks set to intensify.

That figure is Gestifute’s Jorge Mendes, who is understood to be the lead representative of four of Manchester City’s first-team stars, including several names that are being continuously linked with high-profile exits this summer.

All of Ederson, Joao Cancelo, Ruben Dias, Matheus Nunes, and Bernardo Silva are represented by Jorge Mendes, with two of the five clients heavily linked with ends to their respective Manchester City careers.

Ederson is currently at the centre of widespread uncertainty as Saudi Pro League officials look to finalise an agreement with Manchester City for the 30-year-old goalkeeper, whilst there is a belief in some quarters that the player has already agreed to personal terms with Al-Nassr.

Joao Cancelo is also likely to be shut out of Pep Guardiola’s first-team squad for another season, and as such City bosses will seek a permanent agreement with any club able to finance a deal at a suitable price.

But the ongoing uncertainty surrounding Jorge Mendes clients has seemingly sparked an in-person visit from the agent to the City Football Academy offices, with details of that trip now emerging from a club insider.

According to the information of Manchester City insider ‘Tolmie’s Hairdoo’ on X, football super agent Jorge Mendes is expected to arrive in Manchester ‘early next week’ to meet with City officials.

At present, the nature of the trip remains unknown, however the obvious belief would be thrash out an understanding over the likes of Ederson and Joao Cancelo ahead of Manchester City’s pre-season, which begins on Monday 15 July.

Pep Guardiola’s players are likely to return staggered across the course of the next few weeks depending on the length of their involvement with their respective international sides over the last month or so.

Rodri, Kyle Walker, John Stones, and Phil Foden will be among those last to return, with Spain and England going head-to-head in this Sunday’s European Championships final at the Olympiastadion in Berlin.

Julian Alvarez may also not feature for Manchester City until mid-September, with his Copa America final duties to be followed up by representation at the Paris Olympic Games this summer for Argentina, before taking on a minimum of three weeks holiday.
