Flyers Star Forward Gets Big Compliment

Earlier this offseason, star forward Travis Konecny got rewarded for his great play, as he signed an eight-year, $70 million contract extension. Given how important of a player he has been for the Flyers over these several years, getting him extended was a no-brainer and the right move for Philly.

On Wednesday, the NHL Network released their rankings of the top wingers in the NHL. The underrated Konecny made the cut, securing the final No. 20 spot.

When observing Konecny's 2023-24 season, it is understandable that he has been named one of the best wingers in the sport. In 76 games this past season, the 2015 first-round pick recorded new career highs with 33 goals and 68 points. Furthermore, besides being incredibly skilled offensively, he also made an impact with physicality, recording 90 hits.

Some notable names who Konecny beat out for the final spot on the NHL Network's list include Chris Kreider (New York Rangers), Jesper Bratt (New Jersey Devils), Brock Boeser (Vancouver Canucks), and Patrick Kane (Detroit Red Wings).
