Flyers Sign QMJHL Defenseman to Entry-Level Contract
The Philadelphia Flyers have announced they've signed Rimouski Oceanic defenseman Spencer Gill to a three-year, entry-level contract.
The Flyers drafted Gill with the 59th-overall pick in the 2024 NHL draft.
Over two seasons with the Oceanic, Gill amassed 12 goals and 50 points in 106 regular season games. He added a goal and nine points in 14 postseason games.
The Moncton, New Brunswick native has recently been re-assigned to the Oceanic by the Flyers and will get a chance to play in the 2025 Memorial Cup, which will be held in Rimouski.
Despite the team having their sights set on the Memorial Cup, they have a strong enough roster to compete and also make their mark in this year's QMJHL postseason. Gill will be a big piece if they want to achieve that goal.
