Flyers Fans Boo & Hilariously Taunt Ex-Top Prospect
The Philadelphia Flyers selected Cutter Gauthier as the fifth overall pick of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft. The expectation was that he would become a long-term part of the Flyers' core, but he later told the team that he would not sign with them. The Flyers then traded him to the Anaheim Ducks this past season in exchange for Jamie Drysdale and a 2025 second-round pick.

Now, one year later, Gauthier played his first game at Wells Fargo Center, and Flyers fans made sure to make his night immensely difficult.
Flyers fans immediately booed Gauthier when he touched the ice during warmups and did the same at the start of his first shift. They also chanted, "We want, Cutter!" before he stepped on the ice for his first shift.
