Flyers Have Big Need To Address Through Trade

While the Philadelphia Flyers have a solid 12-10-3 record so far this season, they are still expected to be sellers. An array of their players have come up in the rumor mill this campaign, with Rasmus Ristolainen, Joel Farabee, and Morgan Frost being among them.

While this is the case, the Flyers should also be open to adding to their roster this sesason. One clear specific need they have is a proper top-six center.

Sean Couturier has been the Flyers' top center this season, posting a decent six goals and 14 points in 24 games. Players like Scott Laughton, Ryan Poehling, and Noah Cates are better suited for the bottom six, while Frost has struggled with consistency. Thus, it is clear that the Flyers could use another offensive talent down the middle for their top six.

If the Flyers look to add a center, it is unlikely they will target players on expiring deals, given that they are rebuilders. However, skilled centers with term should draw the attention of the Flyers. This is especially so if they are on the right side of 30.

It will be intriguing to see if the Flyers bring in an impactful center this season.
