Florida Panthers sign 2023 second-round pick Gracyn Sawchyn to three-year ELC
The Florida Panthers have locked up another one of the bright young prospects.
On Monday, the team announced that it had signed Gracyn Sawchyn to a three-year, entry-level contract.
Sawchyn was selected in the second round, 56th overall, at the 2023 NHL Entry Draft in Nashville.

The 19-year-old has enjoyed standout seasons in the WHL for both the Seattle Thunderbirds and Edmonton Oil Kings.
Now in his third WHL year, Sawchyn has accumulated 45 goals and 142 points in 124 games between Edmonton and Seattle.
So far this season, he leads all Oil Kings with 20 points and is tied for the team lead with eight goals.
Sawchyn has stood out in both his summers at Panthers Development Camp and was stuck around at this season's training camp much longer than most would've anticipated.
Both Sawchyn and 2024 sixth-round pick Hunter St. Martin impressed during camp and remained with the Panthers until the very end of September.
Florida inked St. Martin to his three-year ELC last month and now have done the same with Sawchyn.
"Kudos to our scouting staff for finding these guys," Panthers General Manager Bill Zito said Monday. "I'm excited for both of them. You saw them in training camp, both those guys earned it."
Both Sawchyn and St. Martin, who is currently playing with the WHL's Medicine Hat Tigers, are eligible to join the AHL's Charlotte Checkers once their respective WHL seasons conclude.
