Flames Prospects Tied For AHL Scoring Lead

As the Calgary Wranglers sit atop the Pacific Division in the AHL, one of their forwards, Rory Kerins, sits tied atop the league's scoring race with 28 points in 25 games.

It's been a remarkable campaign for the 22-year-old, who is only four points shy of shattering his career high of 32 points, which he set last season, his first full-length campaign with the Wranglers.

The former sixth-round pick (174th overall) from the 2020 Draft is on pace for 49 goals and 81 points. He's locked in a tie with Luca Del Bel Belluz (Cleveland) and Vinnie Hinostroza (Milwaukee) for the AHL scoring title.

Heading into the Wranglers' next contest on Saturday, Dec. 14, Kerins is pacing Calgary in goals (17) while ranking in the top five in assists (11), one of nine players to have double-digit helpers this year.

Meanwhile, Calgary has a 19-5-1-0 record with 39 points in 25 games, good for the top spot in the Pacific Divison, and tied with the Hershey Bears (18-6-3-0) for the best record in the AHL.
