For Val-d'Or, it'd be hard not to call 2025 NHL Draft prospect left winger Philippe Veilleux as not being the teams best player after grabbing points on all three of the team's goals (1+2). However, recent right winger addition Noah Reinhart should be mentioned as well as he scored a goal and an assist tonight for the Foreurs.

Then, goals from recent add LW Julien Paille and RW Justin Boiselle in the dying minutes of the third kept the team in the game, and got the team a single in back-to-back however the team couldn't capitalize in the shootout as they fell to Chicoutimi. Gatineau has now lost seven in a row, bringing the team's total record to a dismal 2-13-3.
