New changes are always expected when a club like Barcelona fails to live up to their expectations. Titles and achievements are demanded every season, but La Blaugrana have not always delivered in recent times. However, with the demand for success now being higher than ever, Barcelona have taken a bold step.

That particular step is the appointment of Hansi Flick as the new first team coach for Barça. Far from the typical appointments made by the club, the German tactician has brought in a new philosophy at Barça and it seems that the efforts are paying off.

However, while he has made some very unique additions to the team’s fitness and medical examinations as well, there are some specific elements that he has brought in that the fans seem to adore and love. Here they are, as highlighted by Mundo Deportivo.

The first decision of his that has seemingly received a lot of positivity from the fans is the physical conditioning and emphasis on physical preparation that the coach has implemented. With the arrival of fitness coaches such as Julio Tous, many players have greatly benefited from the new and more demanding training regimes such as Pedri and other stars at the club as well.

Another such decision is the focus on La Masia, something that Hansi Flick has adopted from previous managers and has consequently kept some key traditions alive. The young talents of players such as Marc Casado, Marc Bernal, Gerard Martin, and Sergi Dominguez have been put into the spotlight as a result as well.

The changes made to the pre-match routines are another aspect of Hansi Flick’s Barcelona that the fans have responded well to. Players now gather at a nearby meeting place, typically nearby hotels, and arrive at the stadium in proper club attire rather than arriving early at the stadium in casual attires to promote unity.

Yet another change is the intensity having been added to the warm-ups ahead of games and during matches as well. Through the use of supervising coaches, the players are kept in check and made to perform with more focus.

Lastly, team building is another element of Hansi Flick’s Barcelona that has been clear to see and much adored by the fans. From meals together that include all the player and staff to personal interactions with his own players, Hansi Flick has created an environment that helps everyone connect and unite at a strong level.
