Fiorentina thank ‘world of football’ for support towards Bove
Fiorentina have thanked the ‘world of football’ for their ‘support’ towards Edoardo Bove after his sudden collapse during the match against Inter, adding that Viola president Rocco Commisso is in ‘constant contact’ from the USA to support the player and his family.
Dreadful scenes occurred at the Stadio Artemio Franchi on Sunday, when the midfielder fell to the ground before he was carried away on a stretcher and into an ambulance.
Luckily, the club issued a statement later on Sunday evening announcing that the player didn’t suffer any cardiological or neurological damage, despite being in intensive care at the Careggi Hospital in Florence.

“Fiorentina and the Commisso family thank Viola fans, the clubs, fans and the world of football and sport for the support shown towards Edoardo Bove and his loved ones,” Viola’s statement read.

“Forza Edoardo, we’re with you,” Commisso said.
“You’re a strong boy with a great character. We’re reaching out to the boy’s family during these moments.”
