Fiorentina’s Moise Kean doubtful for Roma
Moise Kean’s presence in the match between Fiorentina and Roma is one of the main unknowns on the eve of the game.
The Viola striker suffered a sprain to his left ankle during the last league match against Lecce.
Despite the injury, Kean was called up for the trip to St. Gallen, where he remained on the bench.
Now, the player is working hard to recover an acceptable physical shape, even if the statements of coach Raffaele Palladino suggest an uncertain situation: “We have a great medical staff, I hope they can do it, but it’s not easy,” said Palladino, indicating that the situation will be evaluated until the last minute.
Kean’s commitment to be ready for Sunday’s match is doubtful, writes Corriere dello Sport.
After years of inconsistent performances, the striker has regained confidence and centrality in Fiorentina, and an important occasion like the one against Roma represents further motivation to attempt an accelerated recovery.
However, Palladino could decide to avoid risks, also considering the alternatives available.
