Fiorentina director Alessandro Ferrari confirms they are open to selling players who are not getting enough time on the pitch, but facing rivals Juventus is ‘never a game like the others.’

It kicks off at the Allianz Juventus Stadium in Turin at 17.00 GMT.

You can follow all the build-up and action as it happens from today’s four Serie A games on the Liveblog.

Although both teams go into this weekend on 31 points, the Viola still have a game in hand against Inter, which cannot be rescheduled until at least February.

That match was suspended due to Edoardo Bove’s medical emergency and he is now the only player unavailable, but is still travelling with the squad to sit on the bench as support.

“It is wonderful having him with us, as Edoardo is also a very nice guy who helps the locker room atmosphere. We are very pleased to keep him close,” Ferrari told DAZN.

There are already reports of a clear-out in the January transfer window, with players like Cristiano Biraghi and Lucas Martinez-Quarta heading for the exit.

“Some would like to play more, I discussed it with the President over the last few days. Our objective is not to ruin what we’ve done so far and also try to satisfy those who want to play more elsewhere.”

Martinez-Quarta has specifically been linked with a move to Argentina for River Plate.

“They asked for information, he wants to play consistently, we’re looking into it.”

There is a long and bitter rivalry between these clubs, although they have done several deals over recent years, including Dusan Vlahovic and Nico Gonzalez to Juventus, with Moise Kean coming to Fiorentina.

“We have always tried to do what is best for Fiorentina, earning the most from the situation. Obviously, this is never a game like the others.”

Fiorentina fans proved that when hundreds flocked to the train station to salute the squad as they travelled out to Turin.

“It was a lovely surprise and reminded us just how important this match is, even for those who are not in the stadium.”
