EA Sports FC 25 is the biggest football video game in the world and its full release is almost here.

Jude Bellingham has replaced Erling Haaland as the cover star for the game franchise, following a long line of legendary footballers to model for the series, previously known as FIFA, including Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, Ronaldinho, Wayne Rooney and Thierry Henry.

Here is everything you need to know about the game as it hits store shelves this week.

The game releases on all platforms on Friday, 27 September, 2024, but gamers can get early access now by buying the Ultimate Edition.

FC 24 is priced at £69.99 in the UK, $69.99 in the US, and €79.99 in the EU on console and PC, and is available for pre-order now. This includes an Ultimate Team Player Loan Item, an Ambassador Loan Item, 250,000 Clubs Coins and more bonuses.

The Ultimate Edition of the game will be priced at £99.99/$99.99/€109.99. You’ll get everything in the standard edition as well as seven days of early access, 4,600 FC Points, doubled bonus points in Rush, and a few more extras.

The Nintendo Switch version of the game will be priced at £59.99/$59.99/€59.99. Note that there is no Ultimate Edition of the game on the Switch.

Gamers will be able to play FC 25 on the latest generation of consoles, including Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and the Steam Deck. It will also be playable on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

PC gamers will also be able to buy the game via the Steam and Epic Games online stores.

Gamers can play a 10-hour trial of the game by subscribing to EA Play, which costs £5.99 per month or £39.99 per year. You can get access to the full game by subscribing to EA Play Pro, which costs £16.99 per month or £119.99 per year.

Rush – A new fast-paced 5v5 mode which replaces Volta. Matches are seven minutes long with no half-time, and each game begins with a race to the ball to get first possession.

FC IQ – Tactical approaches to the game are being overhauled with AI, powered by real-world data, forming a part of tactics in Player Roles.

Clubs updates – You will be able to connect with your club mates in the new Clubhouse, explore new realms with Facilities and play with friends in Clubs Rush.

EA Sports have made a number of new additions to Career Mode, including Live Start Points, ICONS and women’s football.

Live Start Points – This new feature allows you to pick up managing or playing as teams at the point where they have been impacted by real world events, such as poor form, injuries, a relegation battle or manager sacking. This will be released with a post-launch update.

Women’s football – Players now have the option to play or manage in one of the top five women’s football leagues, with managers able to move freely between men’s or women’s teams.

ICONS – Legends of the past can be added to teams, allowing you to see how they would perform alongside players in the modern game.

Kylian Mbappe, Rodri and Erling Haaland are the most highly rated players in FC 25 with a score of 91. Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Jr, Harry Kane and Kevin De Bruyne are the next best rated at 90.

FC 25 will include an extensive soundtrack featuring artists such as Billie Eilish, Charli xcx, Jack White, Glass Animals, St. Vincent, Ice Spice, Kasabian, Twenty One Pilots, and lots more. You can stream it on Spotify below or via this link.

FC 25 has licenses for over 19,000 real world players across 700+ teams in more than 120 stadiums and over 30 leagues. The UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Europa Conference League, CONMEBOL Libertadores, Premier League, Bundesliga, and LALIGA EA SPORTS will all feature, as well as the UEFA Women’s Champions League, Barclays Women’s Super League, the National Women’s Soccer League, the Arkema Première Ligue, Liga F and the Google Pixel Frauen-Bundesliga
