Who are the favourites to become the next Everton manager?
Jose Mourinho tops the list of favourites to become the next Everton manager following the departure of Sean Dyche.
Dyche was sacked just hours before their FA Cup clash with League One Peterborough with the club 16th in the Premier League table.
The attention now turns to who could replace Dyche. Here are the current list of favourites according to Gambling.com.
Jose Mourinho 4/6
The Fenerbahce is the current frontrunner to replace Dyche at Everton. Mourinho has been outspoken about Turkish football since his move to the club and even suggested his next club would be a bottom half team.
Mourinho, a former Chelsea, Manchester United, Spurs, Inter Milan and Real Madrid manager, among others, recently said he plans to stay in Turkey for at least two years, however.
David Moyes 4/1
Moyes spent 11 years managing Everton before departing for Manchester United and is currently out of work after leaving West Ham last year.
He would surely be a popular choice among Toffees fans given what he achieved at the club previously.
Lee Carsley 10/1
The former Everton midfielder recently took interim charge of the England national team prior to the appointment of Thomas Tuchel, and has now returned to his role with the England U21 side.
Thomas Frank 12/1
Frank has done an outstanding job at Brentford, guiding them to the Premier League and then keeping them there for the last three seasons. Whether he would leave for a club currently below the Bees in the table is questionable, however.
Steve Cooper 16/1
Recently sacked by Leicester City but previously did a great job at Nottingham Forest, where he won promotion to the Premier League.
David Wagner 16/1
Would be a surprise appointment but previously performed brilliantly with Huddersfield where he guided them to promotion to the Premier League and then kept them up.
Paulo Fonseca 16/1
Fonseca was recently sacked by AC Milan following a disappointing start to the season and has previously coached Porto, Roma, Lille and others.
Edin Terzic 16/1
Guided Borussia Dortmund to the Champions League final last season before leaving in the summer and is currently out of work.
