How far did Penn State football move up in the AP top 25 after beating Washington?
After beating Washington during Saturday night’s White Out game, Penn State moved up two spots in the Associated Press Top-25 poll.
The Nittany Lions now rank No. 4 in the latest poll, which was released Sunday afternoon. Oregon remains steady in the top spot while Ohio State — which last week handed Penn State its only loss so far this season — moved up one spot and now sits at No. 2 after shutting out Purdue, 45-0.
The Big Ten dominated the top five of the poll, with Indiana moving two spots to No. 5 after beating Michigan.
Penn State had 1,274 voting points — just one more than Indiana. No other Big Ten teams are ranked or received votes.
The Nittany Lions were ranked No. 6 in the first College Football Playoff ranking that was released last week, putting in prime position to make the playoff for the first time. The next ranking will be released Tuesday.
