You’re waking up on Tuesday reading all that you can about the players that you should be picking up off the waiver wire as you prepare for Week 2 of fantasy football in 2024.
But it’s likely there aren’t as many things written about who you should be dropping to grab those players. That’s what this weekly column — keep ’em or dump ’em! — will hopefully answer for you: Some help in the debate over who you should keep or drop in order to improve your team.
He had just three catches for 26 yards, although he had six targets. But Ja'Marr Chase might round into shape and Tee Higgins could be back.
VERDICT: Drop him
2. RB Blake Corum, Los Angeles Rams
He put up a goose egg after all that preseason hype and Ronnie Rivers got run as the RB2. You still need to wait when it comes to a running back like Corum ... for now.
VERDICT: Keep him
3. WR Ja'Lynn Polk
There are a bunch of receivers ahead of him in the Patriots' pecking order.
VERDICT: Drop him
4. RB Kimani Vidal, Los Angeles Chargers
JK Dobbins and Gus Edwards are your RB1 and RB2. Vidal might be good down the road, but for now ...
VERDICT: Drop him
5. RB Chuba Hubbard, Carolina Panthers
Better days have to be ahead for the Panthers offense, right? RIGHT? and while Jonathon Brooks will be back at some point, Chuba is still the starter.
VERDICT: Keep him
6. WR Adonai Mitchell, Indianapolis Colts
A tricky one, but I liked the usage from Sunday and Anthony Richardson helps him be a big-play threat.
VERDICT: Keep him
7. WR Josh Palmer, Los Angeles Chargers
Seems like Ladd McConkey is WR1 in Los Angeles, so I'm OK with dropping Palmer.
Ja'Marr Chase played in the Bengals' loss to the Patriots on Sunday afternoon despite failing to agree to a new contract with the organization during the offseason.
Scott Pianowski examines the highs and lows for your fantasy football lineups in Week 5, including a combined nine TD passes from Lamar Jackson and Joe Burrow.
Week 5's Sunday slate is in the books and there were performances and injuries that will have long term fantasy implications. Andy Behrens joins Matt Harmon to breakdown all the action and place the games in three categories: Games we care about the most, games we sort of care about and games that could have been an email.
Carolina had expected Young to be serviceable upon arrival as Williams has been this year for Chicago. It hasn't worked out that way, and Sunday laid it bare.
