Fabrizio Romano responds to Bayern Munich result with Chelsea transfer hint
What does Bayern Munich’s team sheet have to do with Chelsea? Well, quite a lot at the moment, if you believe top transfer insider Fabrizio Romano.
The Bavarian giants have just beaten Freiburg 2-1, but the story for some was not a player who was on the pitch at all. Mathys Tel didn’t get on the pitch for a minute – that’s the third game running in which this has been the case.
Shortly after full time, Romano put out a Tweet relating this consistent lack of game time for the talented youngster with a move to Chelsea that’s been rumoured for some time now.

According to Romano, Chelsea “remain interested to activate talks for a permanent move.”
The Blues have consistently been linked with the 19 year old talent who has so far managed to be convinced that he’s best served staying at Bayern and being patient.
We still think it’s a long shot that anything happens this month – it seems like the French talent will stay put until at least the end of the season so see what opportunities he gets – but there’s no doubt that things are gradually moving in Chelsea’s favour if they really are as keen as we hear.
Nkunku could be the trading piece able to unlock a move for teenage talent
The wild card factor in all this is Christopher Nkunku. He’s spending most of the season on Chelsea’s bench, and Bayern have been named as one of the teams potentially interested in buying him.
It’s a long shot – but it’s not impossible that Chelsea consider sending Nkunku the other way if they really want Tel. Today’s Blues lineup to face Man City has Nkunku on the bench again – he and Tel surely must be coming to the end of their tethers.
