Como coach Cesc Fabregas hints that Juventus are on the verge of signing Alberto Costa from Vitoria Guimaraes, preventing the Azzurri from getting Iván Fresneda.

Juventus are working to finalise a deal for Vitoria Guimaraes left-back Alberto Costa and Como coach Fabregas surprisingly mentioned the deal during a pre-match press conference today.

His Como side will host Milan at the Stadio Sinigaglia on Tuesday.

Como have already welcomed three new players this month and were also expected to get Fresneda from Sporting Lisbon.

However, as reported by Tuttosport, the Portuguese side had identified Alberto Costa as Fresneda’s replacement, but they’ll be unable to complete the deal as Costa is on his way to Juventus.

“He [Fresneda] was very close, but a Juventus operation that involves Sporting has complicated things,” Fabregas said at a press conference today.

Juventus are also working to get reinforcements in attack and reportedly continued talks with PSG for Randal Kolo Muani today.

Tottenham and Manchester United are also interested in the France international who will leave the Ligue 1 giants this month.
