"F--- You Cutter": Flyers Fans Welcome Cutter Gauthier To Philadelphia

For context, Philadelphia selected Gauthier fifth overall in the 2022 NHL Draft. However, the youngster refused to sign a contract with the Flyers. This dispute got much attention throughout the hockey community and created tension with Philadelphia's management.
The Flyers GM Daniel Briere was forced to trade Gauthier and found a landing spot in Anaheim, trading him a year ago to the Ducks for defenseman Jamie Drysdale and a 2025 second-round pick.
Gauthier signed his entry-level contract with the Ducks and will be an RFA at the end of next season.
Despite Gauthier labelling this trade with the reasoning of a "personal matter," Flyers fans took offence to his actions and comments.
Throughout Saturday's contest, the Flyers matched the intensity of the crowd, taking a few runs at Gauthier, defending the honor of playing for Philadelphia.
At one point in the game, Gauthier and Flyers right winger Travis Konecny had a dispute in the middle of the second period. It appears that Konecny told Gauthier, "I'll fight you."
To add to the drama, Drysdale, one of the assets that Gauthier was traded for, scored in this game. He supplied the Flyers with a 2-0 lead at the end of the first frame and recorded a power-play assist in the final frame, en route to a 6-0 shutout victory for the Flyers.

Gauthier had 13:19 of ice time in the loss, the lowest of his last four games. He finished the game with a minus-one rating and three shots on goal.
The 20-year-old has five goals and 18 points in 42 games and ranks sixth among all rookies in scoring.
