Expect Matthew Knies to Push Leafs, Flyers Rematch To Over

Tuesday night is the ultimate opportunity for NHL fans, with a lineup of four thrilling matchups that fans eagerly anticipate. One game that stands out on the schedule is the second leg of a home-and-home between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Philadelphia Flyers after the Buds barely edged out a 3-2 overtime victory at home on Sunday. They now travel to the City of Brotherly Love, where the Flyers are 8-9-1 this season.

For bettors, this matchup provides a chance to capitalize on some of our recent strong trends, like our 7-5 record on our last 12 picks and our 9-6 record on our last 14 player prop picks.

Bet: Matthew Knies Over 0.5 points (+100), Flyers ML (+125), Maple Leafs Flyers Over 5.5 goals (-140)

The biggest story in Leafs Land is the red hot play from Matthew Knies, who has caught fire lately with four goals and two assists for six points in his last two games. The 22-year-old has likely seen a bump in production with the return of fellow Arizona native and Leafs captain Auston Matthews.

The Flyers 30th-ranked defence shouldn't stand a chance against Toronto's top line of Knies, Matthews and Marner with the trio combining for six goals, ten assists and 16 points in the two games since Matthews has returned.

They should combine for at least one goal on Tuesday and we get a steal with Knies odds for a point considering the Flyers have the fifth-worst home goals against average in the NHL at 3.44 this season.

Knies hasn't been the most successful on the road this season with just seven points in 16 games but he is red hot and should catch a stray loose puck or pass from Marner or Matthews, who have a combined 22 road assists.

I expect a big night from their line once again but in a surprising losing effort. The Leafs have played their best at home this season and have a 9-6-2 record on the road.

Their recent run of success with four straight road wins is due for screeching halt and that should come from a Flyers team that is due for a win with a 4-5-1 record in their last ten home games.

It's also very tough to beat a team in both games of home-and-home especially with the game tonight featuring Toronto on the road, which is exactly why this line is so tight. The Leafs have a 3.12 road goals against average, which is about middle of the pack but should be enough for Philadelphia to take advantage and make this a high-scoring game.
