Exeter City defender Vincent Harper has been discharged from hospital after suffering concussion during the closing stages of the 1-0 defeat by League One leaders Birmingham City on Saturday.

The 24-year-old left-back was stretchered off after suffering a head injury in a challenge with Blues' substitute Lyndon Dykes in the 84th minute at St Andrew's@Knighthead Park, which resulted in 17 minutes of additional time being played.

In a statement released on X, the Grecians confirmed Harper left hospital on Sunday morning after staying in overnight.

"His tests came back negative, but he has a concussion so will follow the protocol," the club said.

Kenya-born Harper, who joined Exeter from National League side Eastleigh in July 2023, has made 11 appearances in League One this season and scored in the 4-4 draw with Crawley Town in December.
