Exclusive | Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford won’t join AS Monaco
AS Monaco have been in the market for a centre-forward this January following a severe injury to Folarin Balogun. The former Arsenal forward is expected to be sidelined until April after undergoing an operation on a shoulder injury, initially suffered at the start of October before a flare-up at the end of November.
However, whilst Monaco are looking to bring in reinforcements in this sector of the pitch, Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford (27) is not being considered, Get French Football News understands. The Telegraph reported an interest from the Principality club on Friday. The England international is out of favour at his formative club and is looking for a new club. He has been heavily linked with a move to Serie A.
However, with former Arsenal forward Mika Biereth set to arrive from Sturm Graz in a deal that could rise to €15m, Rashford’s arrival is not a topic in Monaco.
