Exciting Blues Prospect Thriving In AHL
The St. Louis Blues selected forward Dalibor Dvorsky with the 10th overall pick of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. There is naturally plenty of excitement surrounding the young forward, as he has the potential to blossom into a top-six forward for the Blues later down the road.
After starting last season with zero points in 10 games with the Swedish Hockey League's Oskarshamn IK, Dvorsky was moved to the OHL's Sudbury Wolves. This decision benefitted him immensely, as he had an impressive 45 goals and 88 points in 52 games with the Wolves.
Now, Dvorsky is in his first professional season in North America, and he is only continuing to impress. In 33 games this season with the Blues' AHL affiliate, the Springfield Thunderbirds, he has 12 goals and 26 points. Due to his strong play, he was named to the AHL All-Star Classic.
Yet, what's more encouraging about Dvorsky's play is that he is not showing any signs of slowing down. He continues to generate offense, as he has four assists over his last four games.
Seeing Dvorsky thriving during his first season in the AHL is excellent. It will be intriguing to see how he builds on his strong campaign from here. If he keeps this up, it will only build on his case to get his first recall to the Blues' roster.
