Ex-Roma president Rosella Sensi sends message of support to Lina Souloukou
Former Roma president Rosella Sensi reached out to CEO Lina Souloukou in light of the recent threats received from upset Roma fans.
Souloukou has been consistently targeted over the last few days for her role in Daniele De Rossi’s sacking.
Earlier today it was revealed that the Greek executive and her family had been assigned police escort.
Sensi – who had also been threatened during her time as owner of the club – wrote the following message on Instagram:
“Protest is legitimate, like criticism and dissent. Violence is NEVER legitimate, as it does not belong to our splendid fans but only to a few bad apples. I know that sense of fear well, I remember the stones thrown towards my home with my daughter who was only 25 days old.”
“I lived under police protection, and I don’t wish anyone to suffer that sense of dismay,” she wrote.
“I express my full solidarity with Roma’s CEO Lina Souloukou for this. I hope, but I’m sure, that the protests will remain civil and never focus on the private lives of people who have the right to live freely and without fear.”
