Paulo Dybala is hoping to be fit for the Serie A clash between Roma and Inter Milan after the international break.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They report that the Argentine is dealing with a muscular knock, but hopes to be back after the break.

Dybala is certainly a key player for Roma.

The Argentine has been a major source of goals, assists, and creativity in the final third for the Giallorossi since joining on a free transfer from Juventus in the summer of 2022.

However, injuries have also been an unfortunate theme of Dybala’s time in the capital.

That had been the case for much of the time that Dybala had been at Juventus. And it has certainly been true of his stint at the Stadio Olimpico.

Dybala has not suffered any particularly major injuries.

However, muscle injuries here and there have tended to rule the former Palermo man out of action for spells.

Dybala was not able to play any part in his team’s Serie A match away to Monza today.

The 30-year-old had been hoping to recover from his most recent setback in time for the match.

However, the injury proved to be significant enough to rule Dybala out.

Dybala was not even part of the Giallorossi squad for last weekend’s Serie A clash with Venezia.

Then, on Thursday Dybala was on the bench for his team’s Europa League match against Elfsborg. However, he did not appear during that match.

Dybala was once again absent against Monza this evening.

However, the Argentine will have the opportunity to try and return to fitness during the international break.

According to the Corriere, Dybala is hoping to be back in action after the break.

Roma’s first match back from the international break comes against Inter.
