Ex Juventus & AC Milan Striker Considers Inter Milan Early Scudetto Favorites: “The Best Squad In Serie A”

Former Inter Milan striker Christian Vieri tips his former employers to successfully defend their Serie A title next season.

The Nerazzurri won the Scudetto title by a landslide last term. They mathematically clinched the title by beating their crosstown rivals AC Milan in Round 33.

Simone Inzaghi’s men finished the campaign as the best attack and best defense in the league.

For his part, Vieri believes Inter have everything that it takes to keep the Scudetto trophy at the club’s headquarters for another year.

The retired bomber insists that the Beneamata will start the campaign with the strongest squad in Serie A.

“This is a great Inter side, they won last season on the back of a wonderful campaign,” said the 50-year-old in his interview with Radio TV Serie A via FcInter1908.

The Nerazzurri will kickstart their Serie A campaign on August 18th with an away encounter against Genoa.

“Going to Genoa is not easy. They secured salvation last season in a great way. Inter will immediately have a battle on their hands away from home.

“They will have to put up a good start to get a positive result.

“Inter are still the favorites and have the best team in the league. They must confirm themselves.”

Vieri also discussed the significance of the Derby della Madonnina having represented both clubs during his playing days.

“Whoever loses the Milan Derby will endure controversies. We’ve seen coaches getting fired in the past.

“The whole world will watch this match, I will be there in the stands. Inter and Milan are two very strong teams that will play great football. I am curious about Fonseca’s Milan.

“San Siro is the most beautiful stadium in Italy and one of the most beautiful in the world. It evokes a unique emotion.”
