Former Inter Milan goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano was the latest football enthusiast to slam Napoli manager Antonio Conte.

During his brief chat with FCInter1908, Viviano addressed the Italian manager’s media outburst after Sunday’s draw.

Conte vigorously complained against Maurizio Mariani’s decision to award the Nerazzurri a penalty late in the second half.

It was a controversial decision.

However, after VAR reviewed the incident and saw no reason to overturn the referee’s call, Hakan Calhanoglu took the shot.

Unfortunately for Inter, the Turkish midfielder fluffed his lines after netting an outrageous long-range strike to level the score.

Inter eventually had to settle for a 1-1 draw despite outplaying Conte’s team at Giuseppe Meazza.

Conte perhaps deliberately tried to divert attention from Napoli’s underwhelming showing by targeting Mariani.

Indeed, he heavily criticized the main referee and his VAR associates after the game.

But in doing so, Conte forgot his team profited from a similar situation at Empoli a month ago.

Conte’s complaints were nowhere to be seen when Napoli squeaked past Roberto D’Aversa’s team in Tuscany.

The identical call by referee Rosario Abisso paved the way for Napoli’s triumph at Empoli.

That incident hasn’t slipped Viviano’s eye.

“Conte makes me laugh,” the ex-Inter goalkeeper said.

“The penalty given to Inter against Napoli was the same the Napolitans got against Empoli.

“But now the mess is created.

“As the Colorado comedian used to say, ‘They’re all f***ing with other people’s butts.”

Conte’s pressure paid off today as Serie A officials temporarily demoted Mariani to Serie B.

However, there’s a bitter taste in everyone’s mouth.

If Conte didn’t spot Abisso’s controversial call at the Carlo Castellani, what gave him the right to criticize Marini?

That’s especially true when factoring in the penalty didn’t impact the final score.
