Ex-Bruins Superstar Gets Bad Injury News

Ottawa Senators head coach Travis Green shared with TSN 1200 Ottawa that former Boston Bruins star goalie Linus Ullmark will not travel with the team for their upcoming road trip. With this news, the 2023 Vezina Trophy winner will be out for the next five games at least.

Ullmark left the Senators' Dec. 22 contest early against the Edmonton Oilers due to an upper-body injury. Now, he is set to miss a decent chunk of games, which is undoubtedly tough news for a Senators club in the middle of the playoff hunt.

Before this injury, Ullmark was playing spectacular hockey. He had won seven consecutive starts, with two shutouts and a .926 save percentage or better in each of them. Thus, it is undoubtedly bad news for the Senators that he will be out for multiple games at least.

Ullmark, 31, has a 12-7-2 record, a .915 save percentage, and a 2.38 goals-against average in 23 games this season.
