Ex-Bruins Forward Placed On Waivers

With the NHL now in the deeper stages of the pre-season, teams around the league are starting to make significant roster cuts. Due to this, several players have been placed on waivers over the last handful of days, and this will only continue.

Former Boston Bruins forward Anton Blidh was one of the 28 most recent players placed on waivers.

With the New York Rangers having deep forward depth, it is not particularly surprising that Blidh has been placed on waivers. He should once again be a solid part of the Hartford Wolf Pack's roster, assuming that he clears waivers.

Blidh, 29, appeared in one game for the Rangers last season, recording zero points, one hit, and a minus-1 rating. With the Wolf Pack, he had seven goals, 17 points, and 77 penalty minutes in 64 games.

Blidh was selected by the Bruins with the 180th overall pick of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. In 70 games over six seasons as a Bruin, the 6-foot-1 winger had four goals, 12 points, and 177 hits.
