With this victory over the Ducks, former Boston Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy made history. He is now the winningest head coach in Golden Knights history.
Since being fired by the Bruins after the 2021-22 season, Cassidy has had immense success with Vegas. In 198 games as the Golden Knights' bench boss, he has a 119-59-20 record. He also memorably led Vegas to their first Stanley Cup championship in 2023.
Seeing Cassidy find great success with the Golden Knights is not surprising, as he was also a great coach with the Bruins. In 399 games as the Bruins HC, he had a 245-108-46 record. He also won the Jack Adams Award back in 2020.
