Here’s everything you need to know about Sunday’s Dolphins-Browns game
The Miami Dolphins (7-8) have a slim chance to make the playoffs but will first need to take care of business against the Cleveland Browns (3-12).
When is the game?
Sunday’s game starts at 4:05 p.m.
Where is the game?
The game will be played at Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland.
How can I watch the game?
If you live in either Miami-Dade, Broward or Monroe County, WFOR-TV CBS Miami will broadcast the game starting at 4:00 p.m.
Who isn’t suiting up?
As of Friday evening, cornerback Kendall Fuller and inside linebacker Anthony Walker Jr. have both been ruled out with knee injuries.
Several players — quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, safety Jordan Poyer (knee/ finger), tackle Terron Armstead (knee) as well as receivers Tyreek Hill (wrist), Jaylen Waddle (knee) and Dee Eskridge (knee) — are questionable. Tagovailoa, however, indicated on Thursday that he’s fine.
“It’s good,” Tagovailoa said. “It’s just like anyone else on the team and anyone else around the league. You get banged up little bit towards the ending of the year so just got to take care of that.”
What’s the significance of Sunday’s game?
There’s a narrative that the Dolphins can’t win in the cold and only beat up on bad teams.
While they can’t change the latter part of that narrative, Miami can certainly put a dent in the first.
“We’ve got to win in the cold and put that narrative to sleep,” defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver said in mid-December.
More than that, the Dolphins need for Hill and Tagovailoa to get on the same page, something that can certainly bode well for their success in 2025.
Look, the playoffs are a long shot. The latest odds give the Dolphins a 14 percent chance at the postseason, according to The Athletic. Miami needs either the Broncos or the Chargers to lose on Saturday just to keep those hopes alive by the time it steps on the field Sunday. Still, there are things that teams do late in the season that can be a catalyst for years to come. The reestablishment of the Hill-Tagovailoa connection should be one of those things.
