Everything Cristiano Ronaldo said on Manchester United vs Juventus and sexual assault allegations

Cristiano Ronaldo faced the media for the first time since sexual assault allegations were made against him as he previewed Juventus' Champions League clash with Manchester United, his second return to Old Trafford since leaving in 2009.

The forward maintains that he is a "happy man" and adds he is "confident" in his lawyers.

He also said that returning to Old Trafford is "hugely emotional" and believes Juventus' attacking options give them a good chance to beat Jose Mourinho's side.

Given the last two months, the allegations, missing out on awards, has it created a problem for you?

This is not the most important thing. I'm not to upset about individual awards. My last two months in Juve was amazing. Everything has gone well. The adaptation has gone well. The awards don't mean everything. It's not a problem.

Having been with Juventus for three months, do you think what you have seen is on a par with Real Madrid?

I don't want to compare. They are both great teams, fantastic clubs. I'm glad to play here in Manchester, Real Madrid and now in Juventus.

What sort of game do you expect?

Manchester (United) they are good team, play at home, it will be tough for us. We have our weapons. We are Juventus we know it will be tough but I think we have chance. If we play in a good way, the way the coach wants, we have a good chance to win. We have to respect Manchester United - fantastic team, experienced coach, but I expect and look forward that Juventus will win the game.

On returning to Manchester United...

It's a huge emotional thing for me to come back. I know all about the history. I won trophies here - cups, leagues, Champions League. Sir Alex Ferguson is someone I will never ever forget and I'd like to express my best possible wishes to him.

On Real Madrid's difficulties...

This is not really the right time to ask about Real Madrid. I don't want to talk about them. We have an important game tomorrow night.

What are Juventus for you?

I'm really pleased to be here at Juventus, to be adapting to a team and the league. I enjoy it a lot. My team-mates help me a lot. All the people helped me. I'm glad to play at this fantastic club.

You are a role model but what's going on doesn't seem to trouble you. You are still going ahead playing as normal?

I know I am an example. I know, 100 percent. On the pitch and outside the pitch. So I am always smiling, I am happy man, I’m blessed that I play in a fantastic club I have a fantastic family, I have four kids, I am healthy. I have everything. So the rest, it doesn’t interfere on me. I’m very very well.

When asked specifically about Kathryn Mayorga's allegations...

You didn’t listen to what I say. I am a happy man. We did the statement two weeks ago, if I’m not wrong. I am glad, of course, I’m not going to lie in this situation, I’m very happy. My lawyers, they are confident and of course I am, too. The most important, is I enjoy the football, I enjoy my life. The rest, I have people who take care of my life. Of course, the truth is always coming in the first position. So, I’m good.
