Leagues Cup 2024 is quickly approaching as 47 clubs from Major League Soccer and Liga MX will go head-to-head in matches across the United States.
Last year's edition of the tournament saw Lionel Messi lead Inter Miami to their first-ever piece of silverware in a narrow victory in the final on penalty kicks. Miami will hope to repeat as Leagues Cup champions, but will have to do so without their No. 10 as he suffered a severe ankle injury in the Copa America final against Colombia.
Leagues Cup 2024 is all set to kick-off on July 26 with the opening Group Stage matches that pits Atlanta United up against Santos Laguna and Pumas UNAM vs Austin FC. All 29 MLS clubs and all 18 Liga MX teams will take part in the month-long tournament, with Club America and Columbus Crew receiving automatic byes to the Round of 32 after their title-winning seasons in their domestic leagues.
