Everton’s Swedish star Bennison joins Juventus

Everton midfielder Hanna Bennison has joined Italian Serie A Femminile eBay club Juventus on a permanent deal.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Blue Girls this afternoon.

It has been reported that Juventus have paid an undisclosed fee to Everton to secure the Swedish international midfielder’s services.

Bennison joined Everton from Swedish club FC Rosengård in summer 2021. The player arrived on Merseyside with a reputation of being one of the hottest young talents in the European game. Bennison has gone on to feature heavily for Everton. She has made 81 appearances for the club in all competitions in which she has scored eight goals.

The midfielder was an ever-present for Everton in the Barclays Women’s Super League in 2021/2022. She then played influential roles for The Blue Girls in 2022/2023 and 2023/2024 as the club went on to record sixth and eighth-place finishes. Bennison’s biggest moment in an Everton shirt arguably came early in the 2022/2023 campaign when she scored in a 3-0 Merseyside derby victory over Liverpool at Anfield.

Bennison becomes the fourth player to leave Everton this summer. Toni Duggan, Eleanor Dale and Annie Wilding have also left Walton Hall Park since the end of the season.
