Everton sign Ladd from Manchester United
Everton have signed Wales international Hayley Ladd from Manchester United for an undisclosed fee.
The 31-year-old, who can play in both defence and midfield, becomes Everton's fourth signing of the January transfer window.
The Merseyside club have already added Kelly Gago, Martina Fernandez and Emma Watson to their squad this month.
Ladd had been with United for over five years, having previously played top-flight football for Birmingham and Bristol City.
"I'm just really excited to get going," said Ladd, who has 90 caps for Wales. "It's great to play under a manager who really wants to dominate the ball.
"At Wales, for a long time I've been playing centre-half, but at United and Birmingham I was playing in midfield.
"I enjoy both positions and I feel like, hopefully, I can add something to each position and really add just a degree of flexibility to whatever position I'm playing."
Everton are currently ninth in the Women's Super League, four points above Crystal Palace in the relegation zone and 12 behind fourth-placed United.
