Everton have completed the signing of Manchester United midfielder Hayley Ladd on a permanent deal.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Blue Girls just a short time ago.

It has been reported that Everton have paid an undisclosed fee to Manchester United to secure Ladd’s services.

The 31-year-old arrives on Merseyside after spending the last five-and-a-half-years with her former club. Ladd joined Manchester United upon their promotion to the Barclays Women’s Super League in summer 2019 and she has helped the club to establish themselves in the top tier. The player made 110 appearances for The Red Devils in total in which she scored 12 goals. Ladd was an Adobe Women’s FA Cup winner with Manchester United last season.

On the international stage, Ladd has been capped by Wales on 99 occasions while she has scored three goals for her country.

After joining Everton, Ladd said “I’m just really excited to be here and to get going. It’s an amazing club with a big history, especially in the women’s game. It’s a real privilege and a pleasure to be here.

“The squad, first of all, looks really competitive and there are obviously loads of top players. With Brian [Sørensen], he’s really impressive. I think he’s got clear ideas of how he wants to play.

“It’s great to play under a manager who’s got those ideas and really wants to dominate the ball. I’m really excited just to get started working with him.”

Ladd is Everton’s fourth signing of the January transfer window.
